ASPiH 2012 Contributor Guidelines
The theme of the 2012 conference is: "Broadening Education Horizons: Translating Learning from a Simulated to a Work Environment", although the Organising Committee will be glad to receive submissions addressing all aspects of simulation and its application to healthcare practice.
All contributions must be submitted via the electronic submission form.
When submitting your abstract, you will be asked to indicate "key headings" that apply to your work. These will help cluster presentations more appropriately during the conference as well as allow delegates better opportunity to plan their schedule to suit their own needs and interests.
Submission Format
WORKSHOPS / SMALL GROUP SEMINARS
We would like to encourage submission of workshops and small group seminars. Workshops should primarily be interactive and include small group activites that help demonstrate, illustrate or develop simulation practices or key educational concepts. Seminars can be more didactic in presentation, but should be designed to help foster discussion and exchange of ideas within the session.
The submission should contain a maximum of 400 words and be made according to the following format:
100 additional words have been allowed for including references.
These sessions will be limited to approximately 30 - 40 participants, unless you specify otherwise. Please pay close attention to giving details of any additional requirements/resources/comments when making your submission.
Each successful Workshop submission will entitle the author and up to two additional presenters to register for the full conference at the Early Bird rate.
Please make the conference office aware if an identical abstract, to that which you are submitting today, has been submitted to any other conference. This will not affect the chance of your abstract being selected for presentation at the ASPiH 2012 Conference.
Abstracts will be accepted until Thursday 31st May 2012.
