Enabling wider sharing of knowledge, expertise, and educational innovation related to simulated practice across the healthcare professions

Student ASPiH (sASPiH) SIG

Student ASPiH (sASPiH) is the special interest group (SIG) of ASPiH devoted to the recruitment, retention and development of undergraduate and newly qualified healthcare professionals within ASPiH.

The main aim of the SASPiH committee is the creation of educational products (i.e. a platform for innovation) to offer student/junior-specific incentives for joining ASPiH and acting as a hub for student/junior ventures.  As such, if you have an idea or a plan for an educational event, opportunity or resource related to simulation, TEL and/or patient safety, we are more than happy to support and possibly provide resources for this, and assist you in disseminating your work academically after.

We were launched in 2014/2015 and have established the groundwork for a stable and productive SIG over the past two years; 2017/2018 we intend to build up resources and opportunities for sASPiH members to give them value for their membership, and improve recruitment and retention of student members of ASPiH.

Student members of ASPiH automatically become sASPiH members.  Please contact us if you wish to opt out; you do not have to state a reason when doing so.
Newly qualified professionals (within two years of graduation) must opt in; please email student@aspih.org.uk and we will add you as a member of sASPiH.

If you are interested in our activities, opportunities or even joining our committee, please email our current chair of operations hycs5@hyms.ac.uk and CC instudent@aspih.org.uk
